venice electroacoustic rendez-vous
Goethe disait que “l’Architecture est une musique pétrifiée”.
Du point de vue du compositeur de musique, on pourrait inverser la proposition et dire que
“la musique est une architecture mobile”.
V.E.R-V. (Venice Electroacoustic Rendez-Vous)
was born as a non-profit organization within the walls of the "Benedetto Marcello" Conservatoire of Venice, thanks to the confluence of composers, musicians and visual artists interested in exploring new ways for artistic research and production through an independent and functional platform particularly focused on the sound/performance field. The most recent collaborations include - as well as the "Benedetto Marcello" Conservatoire of Venice - the record label 19'40”, the Venetian organizations Biennale Urbana, Live Arts Cultures and Pas-e, the French Pavilion of the 57th Venice Art Biennale, the research and music production center AGON of Milan and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music TAU (Tel Aviv University).
All of these networking experiences allow V.E.R-V. to focus its activities for the years 2018/2019 on the activation of new networks in the Venetian territory, as to create a reservoir of specialized skills able to enhance the technical and artistic professions that reside within the metropolitan city.
